Team Management Tools
There are tons of amazing resources out there that make managing a team a whole lot easier! The key is to look for tools that increase productivity and promote communication without adding unnecessary work to your plate. The list below includes the tools that we currently use to manage our team. Each tool is linked to make it easy for you to find more information and get signed up. Here are my faves!
SLACK (Communication)
Slack is the communication tool for our team. It’s a place for teammates to ask questions and keep each other up- to-date. You can have separate channels for different projects and departments. The best part is that you can set Slack to only send you notifications during your work hours. Teammates can leave questions anytime, but you don’t have to see them until you are ready to work.

MONDAY (Project Management)
Monday is the tool that we use for project management. We break down every project into small steps and list them. Each step can be assigned to certain teammates and given a deadline. This is especially helpful for repetitive tasks in your business such as blog writing, product creation, site wide sales, etc. Monday allows you to upload files, pictures, and communicate with your team about the project you are working on.

LOOM (Screen Recording)
Loom is a very basic screen recorder that can be used on your computer and your phone. We use Loom to record Standard Operating Procedures for our team. They are short and simple videos that show teammates how we do everything in our business. We have SOPs for uploading a resource, scheduling a Facebook post, improving SEO on a blog post, and so much more. Loom makes it easy to push record when you are working so that you can save time training and answering questions later.

ONEDRIVE (Shared Drive)
We store all our resources on One Drive. It makes it easy for us to share files with our entire team. The great thing about using One Drive is that there are no additional steps. I just save my document and it is automatically added to the drive. No uploading is necessary. Within minutes, my team can access that document. All our documents are safely stored in the cloud and can be accessed from any device

LAST PASS (Password Sharing)
Entrepreneurs have tons of passwords! We use Last Pass to make it easy for our team to access the sites they need without having to give them our passwords. Our teammates have a Last Pass account with their own password. We can decide what items to give them access to. When they try to log in to a site, a Last Pass box will appear. They enter their password, and it will automatically enter our password for the site. They never know our password. This keeps everything super safe and makes it easy to change passwords without having to send updates to everyone on your team.

BOBBY KLINCK (Legal Templates/Contracts)
No matter how much you love your team, it is still advisable to have each teammate sign a contract. The contract protects you and your teammate. Since our team is made up of contractors, we use a Contractor Contract written by a lawyer. It is a template, and it is easy to add our very specific information to the document.

Social Media Tools
MEET EDGAR (Facebook)
Facebook is a huge part of what we do and how we serve teachers. But scheduling daily posts for 4 different groups can be a huge chore! That’s why I fell in love with Meet Edgar. Not only does it make one-time scheduling easy, but it allows you to create recurring content so you can even have a year’s worth of content looping. It’s a must-have if you use Facebook!
